Being Visible is Not the Same as Being Seen

You have a LinkedIn profile. A website. A professional headshot that does exactly what it's supposed to do — it says I am a credible, accomplished person who takes herself seriously.

And it's true. You are. You do. (and kudos to you!)

But here's the thing about credible and accomplished — it gets boring. At some point, the women who have built something real, led something meaningful, and shown up fully in every room they've walked into start to feel a little... contained by their professional photos.

Like the image is telling part of the story. Just not all of it.

There's visible, and then there's being seen.

Being visible means you're out there. You exist on the internet in the way that established businesswomen are supposed to exist on the internet. Your photo is current. Your bio is solid. You've done the work, and it's all good!

Being seen is something different entirely.

It's when someone lands on your profile and immediately thinks I need to work with her — not because of your credentials, but because of something they recognized in your energy, your presence, the way you showed up in that image. Something that told them exactly who you are before they read a single word.

Think about how many times you've connected with people in every day life...over kids, pets, your favorite band, a hobby or interest, etc. There is real power in that.

That's not a headshot. That's a portrait. There's something different about it.

You've grown. Your images can too.

Think about where you were when you got your first professional headshot. Now think about where you are now. The experience you've accumulated. The confidence you've built. The very specific, hard-won way you move through a room.

Are your current images keeping up with that woman? Are they showing who you really are?

For a lot of established businesswomen, the honest answer is no. Not because their photos are bad — but because they've simply outgrown them. They need something bolder. Something that captures not just their professionalism but their full personality. Their wit. Their quirkiness. Their sense of humor. Their this is exactly who I am and I'm not toning it down energy. (Amen, sister!)

That's the upgrade.

What it feels like when the images actually catch up

There's a moment that happens in the studio — usually about halfway through a session, once the nerves have settled and the real personality starts coming through — where something shifts. A woman stops thinking about the camera and just becomes herself. Confident. Funny. A little fierce. Completely at ease.

That's when the real images happen. The ones that make her stop mid-scroll through the gallery and say OMG, that's me! I can't believe that's me.

That feeling? That's being seen. And once you experience it, a standard headshot will never feel like enough again.

Ready for the next level?

Let me introduce you to my latest offering. She's More Than. is a personal branding portrait experience for established businesswomen who are ready to show up as their whole selves — not just their résumé. Multiple looks, a curated style consultation, and images that carry the same presence, depth, and intention you bring to everything else you do.

These images are bold, they're beautiful, and they're fun.

Because the women who need to find you deserve to see the real you. Not just the professional version. All of you.

You're more than your title. It's time your images proved it.
