Why Brands Need Professional Photography - Part 2

In part 1, we discussed the importance of using professional photography to make an impact, build trust, and differentiate brands from their competitors. (If you didn't catch that one, click HERE.) Here are some additional benefits of using custom imagery for your business.

Did you know good photography can give your business a personality?

We all like to do businesses with people we know and trust, right? For service-based businesses, establishing trust is especially important since you're selling something that's intangible. Using quality photography can help you build that trust with your potential clients before you've even met.

Brand photography adds a personality to your business and the right images can speak directly to the ideal clients you’re trying to target. For service-based businesses, the more you can create an emotional connection to your audience, the more likely you are to win the work. Well crafted images can connect with your customers in a matter of seconds.

But why? When we see a photo we like, we automatically try to process the information it’s giving to us. So for example, when we see an image of someone that looks personable, we’re more likely to want to do business with them. Add an emotional connection, like demonstrating how you help your clients, a warm smile, a sense of calm, etc. and it becomes even more powerful.

Consistency makes you look more professional.

The key to good branding is consistency. It's so important in telling your brand's story. Establishing a style or voice that you use across your marketing channels will make your company look put together. For example, teams look more professional if headshots are all in the same style.

It’s really important to be consistent with the images you use in proposals, on websites and social media channels, in advertising, etc. You don’t have to use the same exact images everywhere (in fact, we recommend mixing it up a bit to keep your viewers interested), but all of the images should appear to fit together. You want someone to look at your marketing channels and instantly know it’s your company.
