Yes, You’ve Aged. Embrace it!

It’s a new year! When is the last time you updated your headshot?

Is your last one from when you were 10 years younger? You love the way you looked back then! Why can’t you just use that one forever?

Here’s why that’s a bad idea.

Imagine meeting someone for the first time. All you’ve seen of them is their headshot they use on business cards and social media. You’re excited to meet this person, walk in the room and…whoa! That’s not what you were expecting.

They used a headshot from 10 years ago and don’t look like that anymore. You can’t hide behind an old headshot in real life.

More importantly, what kind of first impression did they make? I mean, you never want someone’s first impression of you to be “Whoa! That’s not what I was expecting.”

Use Your Headshot to Inspire Confidence

Now imagine meeting someone who’s using a current professional headshot. You walk into the room and recognize that person immediately. There’s no awkward confusion, only a confident greeting and conversation.

Can you feel the difference?

Yes, we all age. Yes, we probably preferred the way we looked when we were younger… a few less pounds, not so many wrinkles, etc. That’s a normal feeling. It’s the number one excuse I hear for not getting an updated headshot.

But imagine the great first impression you can make if you embrace the way you look now and wear it confidently. I mean, you’ve earned those wrinkles with all you’ve worked for over the years!

The Importance of Working with a Professional Headshot Photographer

Choose a professional photographer who knows about posing and lighting. Not all photographers do! For example, it’s my goal to make sure you look and feel your absolute best – which results in a more relaxed, relatable portrait.

That and some subtle retouching go a long way in creating a headshot you love. Better yet, include professional hair & makeup with your session and you’ll feel as confident as you look.

It’s time to embrace your current look! I promise, you’ll make a much better first impression.
